Today, we invited Mr. Samuel to walk us through the working process of a rear-loading garbage compressor truck — one of the most widely used waste collection vehicles in urban sanitation systems.
Step 1: Waste Loading
The process begins at the rear of the truck. Garbage bins are lifted and tipped into the rear hopper. The rear-loading design makes it easy to collect waste from standard roadside bins, including wheeled containers like the ones you see in the photo.
Step 2: Compaction
Once waste enters the hopper, the built-in compaction mechanism activates. A hydraulic scraper plate pushes the garbage forward into the main body, compressing it to maximize the load capacity. This cycle repeats with each bin emptied.
Step 3: Full Load & Transport
With an 8CBM compaction body, the truck can handle a large volume of waste before needing to unload. Once full, it heads to the designated disposal or transfer station.
Step 4: Discharge
At the station, the rear door opens and the push-out plate ejects the compacted waste cleanly and efficiently — ready for the next collection round.
